Who owns and operates the 0824 number range?
0824 Telco (Telepassport Communications Pty Ltd) holds and operates the 0824 VoIP number range in Namibia. When you get an 0824 number through us, you are working directly with the range operator — there is no reseller or middleman between you and the network.
Do I need to buy any hardware or equipment?
No hardware is required. The free app runs on iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and any web browser. If you prefer a physical IP desk phone, we support those too — but most customers start with just the app and never need one.
What happens to my calls during a power cut or internet outage?
Because 0824 Telco is cloud-hosted, a power cut at your premises does not affect the system itself. Calls can be diverted to a mobile number or forwarded to a colleague who still has connectivity. Your PBX stays online — only the devices at your location are affected by local power outages.
Can I use my 0824 number from outside Namibia?
Yes. As long as you have internet access, your 0824 number works exactly the same — whether you are in Cape Town, London, or Windhoek. Callers in Namibia dial your local number and pay local rates. You answer on the app wherever you are.
How quickly can I be set up and making calls?
